October Bus Day Trip|Zakimi Castle Ruins & Yachimun Pottery Village
In October we’ll visit the UNESCO World Heritage “Zakimi Castle Ruins” and the famous “Yachimun (pottery) Village” in Yomitan. We’ll stroll through the beautifully crafted stone walls while learning about Okinawan history, feel the atmosphere of workshops and climbing kilns, and try a hands-on activity painting an unglazed Shisa (guardian lion). It will be a full day of learning through nature and culture while making great memories with friends.
This October’s bus trip visits Zakimi Castle Ruins and Yachimun Pottery Village. Explore the ruins and history, enjoy the workshop atmosphere, and try painting an unglazed Shisa. A special day combining learning and play.

About Zakimi Castle Ruins

The Zakimi Castle Ruins, part of a UNESCO World Heritage site, date back to the 15th century and feature exquisite stone masonry with elegant curves and panoramic views from the hilltop. It’s a valuable spot to experience history. Children can learn about Okinawa while spending time in nature.
About Yachimun Pottery Village

Yachimun Pottery Village in Yomitan is home to traditional Okinawan pottery workshops and climbing kilns. Enjoy a relaxing walk while taking in the unique pottery culture of Okinawa. Children will also try painting an unglazed Shisa, blending learning with fun.

Participation Details
- Capacity: 12 participants
- Fee: $60 (SOFA: $45) (bus fare and workshop fee included)
- Sibling Discount: 10% off for the second child, 20% off from the third
- What to bring: Packed lunch / Water bottle / Hat
- Payment: Please use the online payment link we send after registration.
- Cancellation: Full refund up to 3 days before; 50% within 2–1 days before; no refund on the day.

- A. Yes. Staff will accompany and supervise the group to ensure safety.

- Q. What if it rains?
- A. The event will be held rain or shine. The schedule may be adjusted depending on weather conditions.
- Q. What is the cancellation policy?
- A. Full refund up to 3 days before; 50% within 2–1 days before; 100% on the day.
- Q. My child has allergies or special considerations.
- A. Please note them in the registration form. Our staff will share the information internally and accommodate within reason.
