Thank you so much to everyone who joined us. We will announce next year's dates here as soon as they are set.

This year's camp report will be published here soon.

Now in its 13th year, Churakids Summer Camp takes place in the beautiful nature of Okinawa. Kids explore the outdoors through canoeing, snorkeling, campfires, and so much more. It's also a chance to make friends with local Okinawan and Japanese kids. With experienced bilingual staff on hand, children of all backgrounds feel right at home. This summer, make memories that last a lifetime.

FAQ

Is it okay if my child can't speak Japanese?

We have bilingual and English-speaking staff with the children at all times, so no worries!

My child is joining alone. Is that okay?

Many children join by themselves. They'll be grouped by age and make friends right away!

Can my child be in the same group as a friend?

If your child is shy or younger, we can adjust the groups. Please let us know when you apply.

My child doesn't meet the age requirements. Can they still join?

Please contact us first! We may accept children outside the recommended age range depending on the situation — e.g. siblings joining together or prior camp experience.

Can parents participate?

Unfortunately, parent participation is not available. We encourage independence as part of the camp experience.

Can I see how my child is doing at camp?

We share photos and updates with parents via a dedicated LINE group throughout the camp.

My child has never stayed overnight away from home. Will they be okay?

Our group leaders closely monitor each child's well-being — physically and emotionally. If staying overnight becomes too difficult, we will contact you immediately.

Past Camp Reports

Every year we share the camp in photo-rich report articles. Here are last year's three sessions.

Communication was amazing, loved seeing pictures in the group chat everyday. Fantastic response when our daughter got hurt on a trip. Great time for our kid, would love to go again.

My son had a fantastic time at Summer Camp. We weren't even home yet and he said he wants to go back for more days. I felt so at ease while he was gone because of the constant stream of pictures of the kids during activity. He loved all of the activities and I am so grateful he will have this memory of his childhood in Okinawa.

My son, 2nd grade, enjoyed this program like catching bugs, doing fireworks, canoeing, water gun shooting, playing in the mud and much more. I think definitely this program will be awesome experience for your kids. They have no time to be shy and just let them be wild! Of course I'll give 5 stars on this program.

Our child joined Churakids' English Summer Camp for the first time. Through nature activities and cultural exchange, it was a truly valuable experience. We hope to join future events too.
Minori S. ★★★★★
Our daughter was nervous about staying away from home, but the staff helped her settle in right away. Cross-cultural friendships, nature adventures — it was a camp that created lifelong memories. The daily photos on LINE gave us parents total peace of mind.
