Club Overview

Churakids offers cooking classes for children aged 4 to 12, where they explore Japanese culture through hands-on cooking with local kids. Children discover new ingredients, traditions, and flavors while connecting with the community in a friendly, welcoming environment.

Cooking Club
Mochi-tsuki is a Japanese New Year tradition where you pound rice to make mochi. We’ll make fresh mochi together and enjoy toppings like anko, kinako, and soy sauce. Experience this Japanese tradition with friends!

Do we need to be Churakids members to participate?

No, you don’t need to be a member. Everyone is welcome to join.

Is it okay if my child doesn’t speak Japanese?

Absolutely. The class is designed so children can enjoy cooking and interacting even without speaking Japanese. Staff can support in English and Japanese.

How do you handle food allergies?

Please inform us when applying. We will do our best to accommodate, but complete removal or substitution may not always be possible.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available at the venue.

Can parents observe the class?

To maintain a relaxed learning environment, we kindly ask parents not to observe the class. Staff will support your child throughout the session.

What should we bring?

Please bring a water bottle. Aprons and hair covers are provided. Children with long hair should bring a hair tie.

Can children take home the food they cook?

Most dishes are enjoyed in the classroom. Some recipes may be taken home depending on the menu and food safety considerations.
