Create an unforgettable summer!
It’s our 11th anniversary for Churakids Summer Camp! We will be hosting a wide variety of activities for our campers to enjoy. Children who are experienced Japanese speakers or first time Japanese learners are all welcome to come and have a blast while also improving their language skills. Come join us for a summer of fun!
What’s Churakids Summer Camp?
Indoors, there will be a variety of activities to participate in such as arts and crafts, laboratory experiments, and BBQ! Outdoors, there will be sports, games, canoeing, and we have “Aqua Learning” which includes exploring an uninhabited island and snorkeling.

- For siblings participating together, a 10% discount will be applied for the second child and a 20% discount for the third child.
- If capacity is reached before the deadline, applications will be closed at that point.
- We may recruit for a waiting list at a later date. Announcements will be made on this page or our social media.
Journal
At the English Summer Camp, children happily write in their journals every day. They record what they learned, felt, and most importantly, the fun moments, in a lively manner. Here are some excerpts from the journals written by the Churakids who participated last year.
FAQ
Q: Is it okay if my child can’t speak Japanese?
A: We will have English speaking teachers, so no worries!
Q: My child is not participating with friends but by themselves, is it okay?
A: Many children join the camp by themselves. Children of the same age group will be placed together, so it will be easy to make new friends right away!
Q: My child would like to join with friends, can they be in the same group?
A: We hope that this summer your child will make a lot of new friends. However, if your child is shy or younger, we can adjust the groups to your liking. Please make sure to contact us when applying.
Q: My child does not meet the age requirements, is it possible for them to participate?
A: Please talk to us first! We will accept children under the age of 6 depending on the circumstances such as those who aren’t shy, have camp experience, or are participating with siblings.
Q: Can parents participate?
A: Unfortunately, parents will not be able to participate in this event.
Q: Can we see how our child is doing at the camp?
A: Our staff will be posting pictures and videos on our Facebook page during events! Also, we will send you a picture or movie that summarizes the state of the event at a later date.
Q: My child will be staying alone for the first time, is it okay?
A: Please rest assured that each group leader will be paying attention to your child’s living, physical, and mental condition. If there are problems with staying overnight, we will contact parents right away.
