Golden Week Day Trip|CAVE OKINAWA & Ryukyu Mura

For this Golden Week, we’ll visit CAVE OKINAWA, a real limestone cave in Uruma City, and Ryukyu Mura, a traditional Ryukyuan village in Onna. In the morning, children will explore the mystical underground world of the limestone cave and enjoy the “Mystery Zone” with projection mapping and stalactite formations created over thousands of years. In the afternoon, the group heads to Ryukyu Mura, a lively village of red-tiled heritage houses, to watch an Eisa drum performance and encounter traditional Okinawan culture through the park’s exhibits. A special Golden Week experience packed with nature, culture, and history!

About CAVE OKINAWA

CAVE OKINAWA in Uruma City is one of Okinawa’s leading limestone cave exploration sites. Children will experience the fantastic underground world of stalactites shaped by nature over thousands of years, along with the “Mystery Zone” featuring projection mapping. The cave stays around 21°C / 70°F year-round — a cool, magical world even in the peak of summer. You can also meet friendly mini-goats outside the cave entrance.

About Ryukyu Mura

Ryukyu Mura in Onna Village is a living Ryukyuan village featuring red-tiled heritage houses designated as National Tangible Cultural Properties. The park is filled with exhibits and traditional performances that bring Ryukyu Kingdom–era life and culture into the present. A special chance to connect with Okinawan heritage in the festive Golden Week atmosphere.

About Participation

  • Spots: 12 Japanese / 12 American (24 total, first-come, first-served)
  • Fee: SOFA $70 / Non-SOFA $80 (tax incl., bus + admission)
  • Sibling discount: 10% off for the 2nd child, 20% off for the 3rd and beyond (same household, same signup; we’ll follow up after signup)
  • What to bring: Bento lunch / Water / Hat / Picnic mat / Light jacket

Q. Is this a kids-only event?
A. Yes, children only. Churakids staff will accompany the group throughout the day.
Q. How do I pay?
A. Click the signup button to complete payment online by credit card.
Q. What if it rains?
A. The trip runs rain or shine. The cave is indoors and Ryukyu Mura has many covered areas. If severe weather is expected, we’ll contact you by 6:00 PM the day before.
Q. What’s the cancellation policy?
A. Full refund up to 3 days before, 50% refund 2–1 days before, no refund on the day.
Q. What about allergies or special needs?
A. Please note them in the signup form. We share details among staff and accommodate as best we can.
Q. Is the cave cold?
A. It stays around 21°C / 70°F year-round — cool even in summer. Please bring a light jacket (long sleeves).
