Let’s have international exchange through chess!
It’s OK even if you can’t speak Japanese! This is a chess tournament open to all children between the ages of 5 and 16. There will also be a “pawn game” that even beginners can learn the rules on the spot and participate. Please join us!

Rubik’s Cube Competition
During free time, we invite you to try a Rubik’s Cube Time Attack. Participation is free, and anyone can try it as many times as they like. If you can solve one side or all 6 sides, please give it a shot 😊
Paint Pumice Stone
Using free time, you can paint pumice stones picked up from Teruma Beach in front of the venue. Free to join. Please join with your family 😊
Experience Pizza-Making
Participate in the pizza-making experience, which will be held three times a day (limited to 20 people each time, 500 yen participation fee)! Using a special pizza oven, you can make an authentic tomato pizza or a sweet dessert pizza topped with marshmallows, chocolate, honey, and more. Customize your own toppings and enjoy! 😊

About the Venue
BBQ Teruma is Okinawa’s largest barbecue theme park, just opened in October 2021. Using fresh ingredients carefully selected from the barbecue grill market, you can choose from live clams and spiny lobsters right out of the tank, and have them prepared by a Yakiniku Chef for easy grilling. Feel free to enjoy with your family while there is free time during the chess tournament 😊
Churakids Chess Club
We host a chess club every Saturday. We would love for English speakers to join us! You do not need to know Japanese or have any experience in Chess. Come and engage in the social and competitive aspects of this always fascinating game.
Besides chess, we also teach Shogi (Japanese chess), Othello and Rubik’s cube. Any child over the age of 5 can participate. Please feel free to join us.
